Our story

These getaways created exponential growth. 1 person bringing 1 person who brought 1 more person eventually meant week long getaways were impossible – because there were now 300 of us. So in early 2023 we started to professionalize the events, throwing one night mini festivals focused on a variety of smaller, intimate experiences that harkened back to our original house party days. 

We also realized we needed some professional experience, so a group of us split off to go work at larger festivals – from Burning Man’s Department of Public Works, to build at Lightning in a Bottle, and helping set up the premier stage at Love Burn. And along the way, we met folks of many talents and much experience to join the crew.

So we’re getting away–again and building year 2 of Showcation, a 3-day getaway located at Camp Ramblewood, a converted summer camp in beautiful Maryland.
